Environmental Compliance Officer

Our client is in the professional services sector offering environmental safety audits, training and compliance for various clients in varied sectors. They are looking to hire an Environmental Officer to join their team, reporting to the Compliance Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular environmental and safety audits, inspections and risk assessments

• Plan and conduct internal and external safety audits at client premises.

• Collect, organize and store documentation, records and evidence for audit purposes.

• Participate in site inspections and walkthroughs to identify potential risks or non compliance.

• Support the development of corrective and preventive action plans

• Draft audit findings and assist in preparing detailed reports for management.

• Maintain accurate records of audit activities, findings, and follow ups.

• Inspect and ensure that documentation aligns with regulatory and organisational standards.

• Educate and encourage a proactive safety and sustainability culture.

• Stay informed about relevant environmental laws, regulations and best practices.

• Any other relevant duties assigned in line with organisational needs.
