Role: IT Systems Administrator ▪

Role Overview ▪ Job Title: IT Systems Administrator ▪ Location: Ulm, Germany ▪ Remote Work Policy: Hybrid, 80% on-site. ▪ Salary Range: Up to €70,000 gross per year. ▪ Languages Required: German (C1) and English (C1). ▪ Contract Type: Open-ended. ▪ Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). ▪ Vacation: 30 days. ▪ Relocation Support: Comprehensive relocation package offered. ▪ Travel Requirement: Up to 10% domestic travel. Key Responsibilities 1) System Maintenance & Optimization: ▪ Perform regular updates, patches, and maintenance to ensure system integrity and security. ▪ Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and address potential problems proactively. ▪ Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures. 2) Server Management: ▪ Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers to ensure optimal performance. ▪ Troubleshoot server issues and implement necessary solutions. 3) User Support & Training: ▪ Provide end-user technical support, including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. ▪ Train staff on best practices for using company systems and tools. 4) Security & Compliance: ▪ Implement and maintain security protocols, including user access controls and firewall configurations. ▪ Monitor and address security incidents promptly, ensuring compliance with industry standards. 5) Documentation & Reporting: ▪ Maintain detailed system documentation (configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps). ▪ Generate performance reports for management review. 6) Project Collaboration: ▪ Collaborate on system upgrades, migrations, and technology integration projects. ▪ Assist in evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance performance. Technical Skills: ▪ System Maintenance and Monitoring: Experience with regular system updates, patches, and maintenance. Familiarity with system performance monitoring tools. ▪Server Management: Proven experience in administering and maintaining both physical and virtual servers. Ability to troubleshoot server issues and implement effective solutions. ▪ User Support and Training: Strong background in providing technical support to end-users.

Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and issue resolution. ▪ Security and Compliance: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining security protocols, including user access controls and firewall configurations. Experience in monitoring and responding to security incidents and ensuring compliance with industry standards. ▪ Documentation and Reporting: Ability to maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Experience in generating regular reports on system performance and incidents. ▪ Collaboration and Project Support: Proven ability to collaborate with IT team members on various projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and technology integrations. Ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.

Tech Stack: Support Level and Scope: The support provided includes phone, email, and proactive system monitoring. It covers all company-related IT infrastructure and applications, including: Printers Servers Clients Laptops Desktops All-in-One systems Telephone systems Locking systems Switches Routers Firewalls Windows, Linux, and Mac systems Patching, documentation, monitoring, updating, and installing various software and other IT-related tasks.

Technical Environment: The environment includes various operating systems: Windows: XP (a few), 7, 10, 11 Windows Server: 2003 (a few), 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 Linux Servers: Basic, running Debian and Ubuntu Updates are managed manually, with Windows updates and restarts scheduled outside work hours using WSUS, which requires reworking. Monitoring/Virtualization: The organization uses Icinga2 for monitoring and employs VMware and HyperV for virtualization. Experience: ▪

Minimum of 2 years in a Systems Administrator role or similar, preferably in a production environment. Location: Hybrid in Ulm, Germany (Not remote possible) - role is 80% on-site

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

Technology Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred.

Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools. Languages: English: C1 level proficiency. German: C1 level proficiency. Certificates & Licenses: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) preferred.

Other Requirements: Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical, negotiation, organization, and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in effectively communicating key data to senior management and other stakeholders. Team:
