Business Development Executive
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and expanding the Company's market presence within the furniture and flooring industry. The role focuses on engaging prospects, understanding customer requirements, building trust, and converting opportunities into profitable sales while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Building & Networking
Leverage qualified leads and insights from the Lead Generator to connect with architects, designers, contractors, distributors, and corporate clients.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with industry decision-makers.
Actively network at industry events, trade shows, and forums to expand the company’s reach.
Sales & Opportunity Conversion
Conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations with potential clients.
Provide right input and timely information to assist the support team to develop tailored proposals and solutions to meet your client’s requirements.
Follow up and follow through with the clients to get feedback on the proposals shared by tweak to adjust feedback.
Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company goals.
Manage and grow accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with the Lead Generator to share feedback on lead quality and market insights.
Collaborate with marketing to align outreach campaigns with client needs.
Provide input into pricing strategies, product development, and market positioning.
Reporting & Performance
Maintain accurate records of interactions, opportunities, and pipeline progress in the CRM system.
Deliver regular reports on relationship-building efforts, sales activities, and revenue outcomes.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and business growth KPIs.

Functional Skills
Proven ability to convert qualified leads into clients and manage long sales cycles.
Segmenting leads by industry, geography, or business size.
Tracking KPIs such as conversion ratios, pipeline velocity, and deal value.
Forecasting sales performance accurately.
Understanding basic contract terms and risk management in deals.
Closing deals with appropriate margin considerations.
Account farming, including identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Building business cases to justify ROI for clients.
Understanding pricing models and profit margins.

Generic Skills

Minimum Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Relevant Experience
3–5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management (preferably in a B2B environment).
Demonstrated track record of identifying, nurturing, and converting qualified leads into long-term clients.
Proven experience effectively managing complex and extended sales cycles.
Proven ability to develop strategic client relationships.
Experience negotiating commercial agreements.
History of consistently achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
Strong consultative selling skills to understand client needs, present tailored solutions, and close high-value opportunities.
Basic knowledge of the furniture, flooring, interior design, or construction sector is highly desirable.
