Senior Data / Machine-Learning Engineer

Requirements:

- A completed degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable analytics solutions, ideally in a senior role with project leadership responsibilities

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with stakeholders from IT, data, and business domains

- A self-driven, results-oriented working style with high accountability and ownership for projects and outcomes

- Hybrid work model with required presence in Southern Germany

Responsibilities:

- Effective support for Data Science and automation activities at a leading digital insurance company

- End-to-end coordination of the entire process from data acquisition to deployment of Data Science models within an agile, interdisciplinary team, including domain experts, BI engineers, Data Scientists, IT architects, and more - Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's data pipeline and architecture

- Data provisioning, hypothesis-driven data analysis, deriving insights, and presenting findings to stakeholders

- Design, development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of analytics models integrated into business processes

- Customer-centric, KPI-driven design, implementation, and optimization of digital services and business processes with a focus on full automation, simplicity, and an excellent customer experience
